Richard Helliar MCIAT/ACIOB
Technical director, Senior architectural technician
Richard Helliar qualified as an Architectural Technician in 1976 and
Studied Architecture for a period at Plymouth School of Architecture.
He obtained a BSc in Technology through the Open University in 1994.
Richard is a member of the CIAT and the CIOB.
Joining CMS in 1998, Richard has played an important role in the
running and organisation of the technical team, with a wealth of
knowledge his experience in the company spans over 10 years.
His experience relates to many aspects of construction from
refurbishment to new build and covers many different sectors
including education, health, housing and sports. Richard is also
trained as a CDM Co-ordinator and heads one of the teams of
Architectural Technicians.
Ian White MCIAT
Technical director, Senior architectural technician
Ian White studied at the City of Bath College in 1988 where he
qualified as an Architectural Technician and since became a member
of CIAT.
Ian started his career working for Kendall Kingscott where he worked
as a Junior Technician until he gained his qualification. After 8 years
he left and joined Hall and Tawse where he worked as an Assistant
Design Manager until joining Mason Richards in 1994 where he
resumed his role as an Architectural Technician. In 1995 he joined
CMS Bath where he became a Senior Architectural Technician and
Technical Director.
Specialising within the residential sector, Ian brings a wealth of
technical knowledge to CMS and heads one of the teams of
Architectural Technicians.
