An 18 bed nursing home, that at the time of design was the first to conform to the new care standards for such properties.

Each 6 bed unit is self contained and linked by a central core that houses shared recreational space and management services.

The site is situated at the base of a hill overlooked by new residential development. The design therefore had to be for a low impact building that blended into the landscape setting.  This was achieved by making the building semi-subterranean and utilising ‘green roof’ technology.
