Remodelling and refurbishment of an existing care home together with a large new build extension to provide supported independent residential flats for people with learning disabilities and difficulties. This project posed all the challenges of working with an existing building, and designing a modern extension construction on a restricted and sensitive site to a demanding brief. The project was successfully completed for Western Challenge Housing Association achieving Eco Homes Very Good as well as being built to Secure by Design, Lifetime Homes, Building for Life and National Housing Federation standards.
